ANTIQUE pewter CHEESE MAKING MOULD Heart Shaped Soft Cheese kitchen 1900s OLD

£31.90

From an estate sale in Highgate, North London, this is a 19th century soft cheese press. The owner's daughter believed it was Welsh. Made of pewter, its a large heart-shaped tray with space for three soft cheeses to be placed, drain and retain a pattern on the base. With the sort of wear you'd expect in a well-used antique of its nature, this is a spectacular piece of history! Measures approx 32cm across at widest point, approx. 31cm in height. Depth is approx. 6cm. The three feet on the base are slightly flatter than they would have been when made, and there are numerous dents, all of which add to its genuine appeal. There is a loop at the point of the heart allowing it to be hung and displayed. It is clean and in lovely order. Bid with confidence.

This product would be perfect for cheese lovers who enjoy collecting vintage artifacts and are interested in making their own cheese using an authentic 1900s antique mold.
